Providing Support for Those Suffering from Rare Oral Diseases

Peer Support HandshakeThe Stomatology Center at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry is one of three specialty centers nationwide that focuses on unusual and debilitating diseases of the mouth. 

Since its founding in 1984, the center has treated more than 6,000 patients from 39 states and 11 foreign countries and has developed an international reputation for excellence.

In addition to diagnosing and treating these rare diseases and conducting research into their causes and potential cures, the center sponsors an online support group for Lichen Planus sufferers and hosts the Dallas chapter of the Sjogren’s Syndrome Support Group.
