Dr. Nancy Dickey awarded six Presidential Awards for Excellence during the January HSC wide Convocation 2008.

The Presidential Awards for Excellence honor individuals or groups who personify servant leadership in the areas of community outreach, health care services and delivery, research, institutional enhancement, education and mentorship, and administrative support.

BCD's Dr. Steve Griffin, associate professor and director of clinics was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Education and Mentorship.

 Dr. Eric Solomon, also of BCD, won the Award for Excellence in the area of Administrative Support.

Also honored from BCD during the Convocation were the Alumni Association Dental Teacher of the Year, Dr. Mark E. Gannaway, associate professor of restorative sciences; and Alumni Association Dental Hygiene Teacher of the Year, Keri Pearson, assistant professor of dental hygiene.
