The M.S. program in Health Professions Education is designed to prepare dentists
for a career in dental education. A minimum of two calendar years (32 semester
hours with thesis) is required. The M.S. degree in health professions education
is offered through the Department of Public Health Sciences.
Program Objectives
Program objectives for students are to:
- develop foundational knowledge and skills for conducting research,
- develop teaching skills and construct effective learning environments,
and
- become well-versed in higher education issues.
