Baylor College of Dentistry is the single largest provider of oral health care services in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, with approximately 120,000 total patient visits per year. Residencies and Specialty Programs

Post-D.D.S. certificates in advanced education in general dentistry, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral and maxillofacial pathology, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics and public health sciences.È The program in oral and maxillofacial radiology, the newest specialty, is under development.È

Highlights

  • The dental class of 2004 attained a 98.8 percent pass rate on Part I of the National Board Dental Examination conducted by the American Dental Association. The dental class of 2002 scored a 96.1 percent pass rate on Part II, also exceeding the national average.
  • The 2001 dental graduating class achieved a 92 percent pass rate on the dental licensure exam conducted by the Western Regional Examining Board. Dental hygiene students scored a 100 percent pass rate.
