Arkansas Children's Hospital Dental Outreach Program is searching for a dentist for the Fayetteville/Springdale program. This school-based program focuses on providing free comprehensive dental care to children who do not have access to care. We prioritize elementary school children who do not have dental insurance, are on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program, and/or are enrolled in the ARKids First health insurance program.
The primary goal of the Dental Outreach Program is to complete each child’s restorative treatment plan with a strong emphasis on prevention education. An initial appointment allows ACH staff to clean each child’s teeth and identify cavities and other oral health issues. Onsite follow up appointments are scheduled to fully restore any problems. This approach provides a comprehensive health service to ensure that those children with the greatest need are not lost in a system of screenings and referrals.
The salary starts at $120k for new graduates, with an additional $15k for student loans through the hospital, and (a very possible but not guaranteed) additional $10k a year from Delta Dental. Total starting salary of $135k ($145k if Delta Dental awards repayment), plus full benefits from the hospital (paid vacation, paid CE, etc.).
The Dental Outreach Program (Ronald McDonald Care Mobile) is funded by four not-for-profit corporations: Arkansas Children's Hospital, Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation, Tyson Foods and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma.
